People deal too much with the negative, with what is wrong. Why not try and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom?
As much as I can not swallow the teachings and thoughts of any individual whole (I must find my own way) I can be inspired and enlightened all the same. Same as I am reading Susan Sontag's LITERATURE IS FREEDOM. And isn't that what it is to be "intellectual" (how I dislike that term): to constantly search for meanings in order to create your own "religion?" A religion is, after all, a system of belief and nothing more. It is when it is forced upon individuals that it becomes dangerous. Of course, it is much easier to buy an existing religion than to create your own.
I have always thought that is what art is for, and that is what a good artist does. Creating one's own religion.
