On Monday afternoon, my school had a parade through the streets of Brooklyn Heights. It is a long-standing tradition. The children make amazing puppets, giant ones and march them through the streets while some of them sing and drum and create an incredible colorful ruckus. Here, at the end of the parade, some younger children sat on a stoop, tired, with their beautiful blue and white balloons.
