not odd at all. there are no age limits when it comes to the need for and appreciation of a happy birthday call from friends and especially family
but you would know based on past record whether this neglect is a genuine oversight and a belated happy birthday call will come
or if this is typical behavior, and the expectation will always lead to disappointment
in which case, the value of your friendships increases dramatically.
