It's hard to believe that just a few weeks ago I was walking on the beach and the temperature was in the seventies. The last few days I have been freezing. I think the cold affects me more the skinnier I get. Maybe I should eat more.

Oh that is certainly true. Fat insulates you from the cold. I left work today with an overweight colleague. I had a hat on and the hood of my coat pulled over my head. Whereas despite him being bald he had no hat on, and wasn't too bothered by the temperature.

Thin people however deal better with the heat than fat people do. I have an enduring memory of fat friends (when I lived in Australia) lying on their verandah having covered themselves with wet towels in an effort to cope with the heat.

Yes, I can vouch that since I've lost weight I don't get as overheated as often as I used to...
