I have done little the last few days. A bit of composing, swimming. A few naps. Reading. Watching Hammy play. I have time to think. And time to read the entire newspaper. Amazing.

i've heard people just beg, and beg, for free time
but give 'em an empty hour and they fill it with busy-ness and start complainin' again
"now what?" -and the long mental list of what they were gonna do when the free time finally arrived;
gone quicker than ink from a pencil
but artists..
writers
thinkers
poets and composers
they don't have to stay busy to be productive; or rest to feel relaxed
this is a gift and a blessing.
